Denmat is back in full force in the UK, but do you know about Denmat?
Many of you may know Denmat for Lumineers, but did you know that it manufactures and distributes many of your other favourite products too? In fact, there’s over 17 well-known brands/products within its portfolio to keep your practice running efficiently. Established over 40 years ago by a local dentist in California to deliver solutions across consumables and small equipment, the company has grown into a specialist provider of high-quality dental products in more than 60 countries, even housing its own dental laboratory.
A brief history
Since the early 90s, Denmat has been pivotal to the launch and success of several consumer-lead campaigns, including the Rembrandt Oral Care product line, which included Rembrandt Lighten, the first dentist-dispensed bleaching system to carry the ADA Seal of Acceptance. By 2004, Denmat had launched Lumineers, the popular ‘patient-requested’ veneer placement system that drove patients in their thousands into the dental practice requesting the natural-looking smile they always wanted. And, despite the economic downturn of the late 1990s, Denmat overcame the odds by introducing Snap-On Smile to the market, an affordable and non-invasive removable arch to help quickly and easily improve one’s smile. With 2011-2014 seeing several more acquisitions further complement Denmat’s product line and grow the brand, including Perioptix magnification and illumination systems, and Hartzell Instruments, Denmat officially. celebrated its upward success with the opening of the UK subsidiary in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire in 2015. Today, Denmat employs over 340 employees worldwide and manufactures a complete line of products for dental professionals across all areas of dentistry, including orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics and restorative, to name just a few.
Additionally, Denmat makes it its priority to offer continuing education courses in minimally-invasive aesthetic dentistry to help dental professionals build and optimise their practice. It is also planning a ‘oneday’ Lumineers/Snap-On Smile lecture course in London during March 2018, which will be given by a prominent ‘Hollywood dentist to the stars’.

George Black, managing director of Denmat UK, who has many years’ experience of working in the healthcare and dental industries, has helped to restructure and reorganise the UK subsidiary to place it in a position for significant growth and success. ‘Our core aim is to re-establish the Denmat brand as a leading manufacturer of dentistry products, by providing a dedicated service to our UK dental practices that is second to none. In order to ensure this level of service, we have invested heavily in a growing sales and in-house customer support team.’

Lynsey Atkin, corporate and dealer account manager, is supported by a team of territory managers to cover the UK. Together, their mission is to provide dental professionals with an unsurpassed level of customer service that spans product selection, training and education, maintenance and telephone support.
To further prove that Denmat is back in full force in the UK (though it has never actually been away!) the team is looking forward to meeting customers, both old and new, at the British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show 2018 on 18-19 May at the NEC, Birmingham, where they will showcase Denmat products and services to help practices enhance their standard of care and provide the best outcomes for patients.
