Ultra-Bond® was custom designed to match the physical properties of Cerinate® Porcelain and tooth structure for long lasting restorations. Applications

  • Cementation of LUMINEERS®, porcelain inlays/onlays and full porcelain crowns

Advantages

  • Helps prevent marginal staining and pop-offs; makes porcelain veneer restorations stronger and more durable
  • Long lasting, durable restorations
  • Ideal cementing/luting medium for crowns and veneers
  • Protects against wash-out
  • Eliminates cracking or crazing of porcelain
  • Exceptional ease of use; allows for placing multiple restorations at one time with just one mix
  • Easily distinguished from tooth structure in radiographs

Techniques

After the patient is seated, treat the LUMINEERS® with Porcelain Conditioner for 30 seconds.

Rinse and dry well.

Apply Cerinate® Prime to the LUMINEERS® for 30 seconds and blow thin.

Blow Cerinate® Prime thin.

Place LUMINEERS® back into the case box in their proper slots.

Clean the teeth with a slurry of Porcelain Laminate Polishing Paste and water.

Syringe Paint-On Dental Dam on lingual side of the interproximals covering the gums and teeth thoroughly (this aids in clean-up). Light cure.

Etch teeth for 20 seconds with Etch ‘N’ Seal®, rinse and dry.

Mix together equal amounts of Tenure A and B.

Apply 5 coats of the A-B mixture to each tooth, then air dry the tooth surfaces.

Hold a mirror approximately 16 inches away from the patient’s face and let them examine their smile.

Use a Schure 349 instrument or cotton pliers and gently tease the LUMINEERS® off the tooth surfaces.

Remove the Try-In Paste from the LUMINEERS® and tooth surfaces with Tenure S. Only use Tenure S once the final Try-In paste has been selected to clean up excess.

Select the appropriate shade of Ultra-Bond®.
NOTE: If patient has dark stains, such as tetracycline stains, we recommend the new BLOCK-OUT® opaque system by Ultra-Bond®.

Apply Ultra-Bond to the prepared LUMINEERS® and put in place.
NOTE: Ultra-Bond® will self-cure in approximately 22 minutes.

After placing, remove excess Ultra-Bond® with a soft brush coated with Tenure S or with Dab-Eze sponges.

Clean up any leftover Ultra-Bond® resin cement using bur G (or D).

Use DenMat’s schure 349 instrument to remove the cured cement along the margins, as well as from the interproximal area along both the facial and the lingual. You may also use bur G. This bur is an excellent tool for cleaning up residual resin cement and also great for finishing composites.

Use bur B to remove the porcelain ledge.

Trim/polish the margins of the porcelain veneer.

Using the interproximal fine diamond bur F, known as the ‘mosquito’ diamond, refine the margins along the interproximal area.

Check the bite with articulating paper. Use bur E, the American football-shaped bur, on the lingual to finish the incisal wrap and adjust high spots or length.

Place a wooden wedge interproximally (optional)

Use the Ceri-Sander® (ultra-fine grit) to further smooth the interproximal surfaces. It is important that you use each sanding blade only two or three times to open contacts.

Check the interproximal surfaces with dental floss for smoothness.

Polish the new smile with Porcelain Laminate Polishing Paste using polishing cup A.

6 reviews for Ultra-Bond Plus Multi Shade Kit

  1. Dr. S Pasadena, MD

“Ultra-Bond® Plus is my bonding cement of choice for all of my indirect veneer, inlay, onlay and all ceramic crown cases. As an auto-mix material, it makes dispensing a breeze. Its color stability and hardness make it the ideal cement for cases that need to last a lifetime.”

  2. Dr. K. San Marcos, CA

“We have been using the new Ultra-Bond® along with the Tenure to seat our veneers and the results have been fantastic! We’ve really increased our lab ordering over the previous year. Last year we ordered $70 in lab work versus $1000 year-to-date.”

  3. K.R DDS

“I love using the new Ultra-Bond® Plus. It is easy to use with little waste. I love the fact that Ultra-Bond® is simple, premixed, flows great, easy cleanup and proven to hold”

  4. Dr R.G.

“Ultra-Bond® is a great product, it’s easy to clean up and has great strength.”

  5. Dr. R W Philadelphia PA

“While I don’t restrict myself to any one manufacturer’s products for all clinical applications, I just wanted to acknowledge your company after observing how many of your products I keep coming back to and using for their reliability, ease of use, and biocompatibility. I have used a variety of cements for placement of laminates over the years, but I still love Ultra-Bond® for its color-fastness (it doesn’t seem to stain as much) and its high bond strength. I have found it much easier to modify shades with this product than many others – especially using the shade modification system. This is another very versatile product”

  6. Dr. D

“It is the best cutting agent that we have ever used. The application is so simple and there is no mess in using it.”
